How to transfer videos with subtitles to iPhone using VLC player

As the title says, you’ll need VLC player app installed on your iPhone. Next all you have to do is connect your phone to the computer and open iTunes.

Once you’re in iTunes, click on the phone icon to view the User’s iPhone screen and it’ll look something like this –

On this screen, go in Apps > scroll to the very bottom > click on VLC. Once you’re there, you can drag-drop any file in the VLC documents area.

To transfer a movie with subtitles, you’ll have to move two files here. The movie file and the subtitle file. Just make sure both the files have the same name.

For example, if I want to transfer a movie called XYZ.mp4 with subtitles then I need to transfer two files –

  1. XYZ.mp4
  2. XYZ.srt

After the transfer, click on the sync button and click on done. 🙂
